Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

The short version: animeVS has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email. This page explains everything that is stored or shared, so you can decide what you are comfortable with.

What is stored in your browser

The game saves a few things on your own device, using your browser's local storage and session storage, so it can remember you between visits. These are not sent to us:

You can clear all of this at any time from your browser's site-data settings.

Live Versus rooms

When you create or join a live room, the game stores a room record in a hosted database (Supabase). It contains a six-character room code, the state of the game (which fighters were bid on, the prices, the locked teams) and a timestamp. It contains no names, emails or other personal information. Rooms are intended to be short-lived and are removed periodically.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how many people visit and how fast the site loads. These collect aggregated page-view and performance information such as the page visited, referrer, country, browser and device type. They are designed not to use cookies or to track individuals across sites.

The feedback form

If you use Feedback in the game, what you type is sent through the Web3Forms service to the developer's inbox, along with the mode you were in. Only include contact details if you want a reply.

Advertising

Some content pages on this site (guides and the character database) may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are never shown on the game screens themselves. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Children

animeVS is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA you have rights over personal data held about you, including access, correction and deletion. Because the game does not collect personal identifiers, there is usually nothing to look up, but you can ask through the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
